To keep you satisfied for the moment though, I have a great, easy and super quick breakfast pancake recipe. We had all these ingredients in our kitchen already, so it's great for a lazy Sunday morning brekkie without any hassle.
Breakfast Pancakes
Makes roughly 12 breakfast-sized pancakes
You will need;
- 1 large egg
- About 150g self-raising flour
- 250ml semi-skimmed milk
- A pinch of salt
- 30g butter (to be added to the pan in increments)
- Lemon, sugar, jam, honey, treacle, syrup - basically whatever you fancy - to serve
Crack the egg into a bowl with the flour, salt and milk and mix to get a smooth thick batter. Add some butter to a non-stick frying pan and heat on a medium flame. Add 3-4 small ladles of batter to the pan and cook for about 2 minutes. Turn them when the bottom starts to go brown and cook for another 2 minutes. Make sure the pancakes are brown on both sides, otherwise they'll still be uncooked inside. Serve!
Easy, huh?
