So I've been pretty ill these last few weeks, and so have pretty much accomplished nothing :( I haven't even started my baby unicorn yet, but luckily I'm very close to finishing my hat! And I also have a little easy pattern of my own I'm working on ;)
So now that Tim is done, I need something new to occupy my hands. Whilst out shopping yesterday I picked up some gorgeous orange wool;
You can't tell how orange it is from that picture, but it really is lovely :)
But now I just needed something to do with it! So I frantically searched, and came across this super cute pattern! This baby unicorn is gorgeous, and I can't wait to start making him :)
Thanks to this lovely pattern designed by Stephanie from All About Ami I've finally finished my first every amigurumi :) He's a lot bigger than Stephanie's as her pattern says to use a 2mm crochet hook, and the smallest I had was 4mm! But I was so keen to start making him I couldn't wait :) He also has brown pupils, as over here in England it was hard to find plain black safety eyes. I also don't have any felt, so he's had to go without cheeks :(
I have to say he's my best crochet accomplishment so far!
And thus, these last four days have been crochet crazy.
My hat is coming along very well, but here in england we're experiencing a bit of a heat wave (I think it's the first time I've actually worn shorts over here!) and so I'm less inclined to be making a wooly winter hat :P
You can see here that the seam (far right) looks a bit dodgy at the moment, but I'm hoping it'll even out...
I think the puff stitches are adorable :')
Can you guess what he is yet? I'm very very nearly finished, and I can't wait to get him all sewn up and assembled!
